Ballindenisk & Kelsall

Swhiskey totally surpassed expectations last week, finishing 6th in his first 3*L. It was a big ask for him at just seven years old (and previously a racer) but he totally rose to the challenge, clear across country and with just one rail down.

It was then on to a very wet Kelsall Hill where John Wrottesley’s five-year-old Luckington did a 30.8 dressage and jumped a lovely double clear for fifth place in a BE90.

Ruth  Williams’ One Night Only jumped another BE100 double clear on a 31.5 dressage for seventh place while Jo Voas’ Beach Cruise did her first event, running hors concours in the BE80; she posted a 28 dressage score and jumped double clear.

The three six-year-olds, Primiro, My Cool Gold and My  Forever Blue, were running in novice sections. They all tried hard in the mud but Jeanette did not run them cross country.

Becky Murfin and her own Burton’s Girl did a 32 test, had a few rails but jumped clear across country in the BE90, while Katy Mousdale on Tipperthwaite Barn’s Faerlie Edited did a sub-30 test, rolled one pole and with withdrawn.
