Jeanette had a great few days at Cornbury. Jill Sackett’s Primiro led his 2* section after dressage, a rail down costing him the win; he finished ninth. Also in the 2*, Sally Hayward’s Jack Daniels jumped a double clear for 13th place.
Mike Elvin’s Cougar Mail jumped a fabulous double clear for 15th in her first 3*, while Ruth Williams’ One Night Only smashed her first international with a double clear in the six-year-old championship.
Jeanette said: “It’s been a long process rebuilding my team of horses after the retirement of some of my old superstars. But it’s really special to have Primiro (son of Primitive Pistol – a mare I took clear round Burghley 5*) and One Night Only (daughter of Lets Dance, multiple 5* completions together) now campaigning at International Level and looking serious prospects for the future.
“Thanks to their owners, my sponsors, my team and supporters for all your support on this journey that keeps evolving.
Last couple of events for us now before well earned holidays for horses and humans!”
